The Breen-Gillio census accounts for only seven known specimens; the present Superb Gem ranks head-and-shoulders above this Census - by two full grades! Warm honey-gold toning accentuates a sharp, confident strike and attractively preserved surfaces. Within the distinctive “Baby Head” family of 1876 round twenty-five-cent pieces—itself limited to just three BG numbers—BG-856 holds the distinction of being the rarest.
