Russell Augustin, President and CEO and your primary contact for transactions, began working in the numismatic field in 1982. He is a member of the RARCOA fulfillment team located in the western suburbs of Illinois.

Together, Russell and RARCOA impresses quality service to our clients, building personal as well as professional connections. We connect via coin shows, telephone, email, and Zoom calls. Clients and potential customers are encouraged to reach out to Russell with any questions they have about any numismatic-related subject, with a specialization in U.S. Gold, U.S. Silver and Copper Type coins, ancient Roman and Greek coinage, Pioneer and Fractional gold coinage, and Silver Dollars, and specilaized currency among other numismatic works of art.

RARCOA (Rare Coin Company of America) was founded in 1962. Under the leadership of Ed Milas, RARCOA became heavily involved and a market maker and leader in both US and world material, traveling overseas on a regular basis starting in the 1980’s and continuing today. Being a visionary, Ed Milas made the decision and moved RARCOA out of the city of Chicago into a bank building in the western suburb of Willowbrook.  After a few years we moved into our own private, secure building at 7550 S. Quincy in that suburb.

In 2005, Augustin established AU Capital Management (AUCM), LLC as well as a Senior Nuimismatist at RARCOA.  AUCM is a boutique-style business working exclusively with collectors with numismatic interests that stretch from 600 B.C. to the 20th century. In 2016, AUCM merged into a professional collaboration with the wholesale-based RARCOA in order to expand its wholesale numismatic program, as well as to merge its retail offerings. AUCM continues to operate as a separate entity, but as a partner with RARCOA, offers a massive numismatic inventory at extremely competitive prices. Additionally, we offer various options of liquidity.

Currently Augustin is helping several coin enthusiasts create PCGS Registry Sets. Both Augustin and RARCOA assist intersted market participansts in developing Type Sets or Advanced Sets of: Greek coinage, Roman Twelve Caesar gold and silver coins; U.S. Federal gold coinage; California, Oregon, Mormon, Colorado, the Carolinas, and Georgia pioneer gold; Carson City denomination sets; California fractional gold; Early Half Dollar and Early Dollar sets.
