Authorized in 1934, the series ran through 1938 with low mintages, the 1936-S totaling just 5,000 pieces. Struck at San Francisco, it features Boone on the obverse and a Boone and Chief Blackfish on the reverse, both sides of which were designed by Augustus Lukeman.
