As per the U.S. Mint website, this product is currently on backorder. As an uncertified coin, its list price is $19,600. Issued by the U.S. Mint to commemorate the nation’s 250th anniversary (semiquincentennial), the 2026-P Freedom Ringing Liberty Bell is a one-ounce .9999 fine gold proof coin struck in the distinctive non-round silhouette of the Liberty Bell itself—the first non-round U.S. coin in recent history. Designed by U.S. Mint Product Design Specialist Matthew Newell, the obverse depicts the iconic cracked Liberty Bell with “LIBERTY” inscribed across the shoulder in cursive, the dual date “1776 ~ 2026,” the Philadelphia “P” mintmark, and “IN GOD WE TRUST.” The reverse shows Independence Hall (the bell’s original home) beneath celebratory fireworks, with “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA” on the yoke, “E PLURIBUS UNUM” below, and the sound bow inscribed “$250,” “1 OZ.,” and “.9999 FINE GOLD.” Each coin was individually hand-loaded and struck on a hydraulic press in the Philadelphia Mint’s Research and Development Lab using advanced laser engraving techniques for exceptional detail; mintage is limited to just 2,026 pieces. Measuring approximately 0.888 × 1.024 inches with a smooth edge and 0.167-inch thickness, this limited-edition legal-tender coin captures the enduring symbol of American freedom in pure gold.Customer Reviews
