Token - 1872-Dated G25C California Gold Charm, B-504 Washington Head NGC MS65

Here’s a stunning octagonal gold charm from 1870s California to include in your collection. The obverse presents a striking depiction of George Washington’s head facing left, surrounded by thirteen stars. Below is found the date 1872. The legend on the reverse states ‘CALIFORNIA CHARM.’ above and below, with ‘1/4 GOLD’ placed within the legend. NGC has graded a total of 15 examples of the B-504. There are 2 graded MS65, with none finer. Baker-504, Musante GW-819. This piece is 9 mm. and 0.22 grams.
