Caracalla (AD 198-217). AR denarius (19mm, 2.97 gm, 2h). Struck at the Rome mint, circa 214 AD. The obverse features ANTONINVS PIVS AVG GERM around, with the laureated head of the mature Caracalla facing right. The reverse depicts the Genius of the Senate, togate, standing left, holding a branch in right hand and baton in left. RIC IV 246. RSC 247.
