Balbinus AR Denarius. Rome, AD 238. The obverse feeatures IMP C D CAEL BALBINVS AVG around, with the laureated, draped and cuirassed bust of Balbinus facing to right. The reverse features PROVIDENTIA DEORVM around, with Providentia standing to left, holding a wand in lowered right hand over a globe at feet to left, and cornucopiae in left hand. This specimen has a beautiful old cabinet tone highlighting a bold and attractive portrait.
