Struck at Smyrna or Sardes Mint. Obverse: large head of Athena facing forward, wearing a triple-crested helmet. Beaded border. Reverse: BAΣIΛEΩΣ / ANTIOXOY Nike standing left facing front, holding a wreath in her right hand and a palm branch in her left. Monogram to left of Nike in field. NGC Choice XF. Strike 5/5 and Surface 4/5. An attractive patina of aqua, gold, yellow, russet, and green offers dramatic emphasis of the engraver's design on both sides of this Classical numismatic piece.
