Collector’s Universe prices this issue at $1,600.00 in MS66. In CAC, there are 123 in MS66 with 13 finer. CAC gives this issue a price of $1,600.00 in MS66.

David Hall writes, “The 1936-S is scarce in mint state and Gem condition and somewhat underrated. While not as rare as the S-Mints that proceed it, this issue is rarer than all the S-Mints that follow including the somewhat more highly regarded 1937-S. Strike is usually decent on this issue and frosty white luster is prevalent.”
