1932 $10 Indian Head Eagle PCGS MS65
A beautiful coin in a PCGS Old Green Holder!
Here’s a golden beauty that features a design that was a collaboration between Augustus Saint-Gaudens and President Theodore Roosevelt. For some reason, the mintage of the 1932 Indian was 4,463,000. PCGS has graded 1,782 examples as MS65 with 293 finer. Collectors Universe gives this issue a price of $4,250.00 in MS65.
“One can only wonder why such a large number of Eagles were coined at the absolute depth of the Depression,” writes Jeff Garrett. “This is far and away the most common date in all grades and the standard of reference for the type coin to represent the Indian Head Eagle. Most show typical, strong Philadelphia luster and bold strikes. Preservation ranges through the grading spectrum up to and including MS 67.”
