Here is a beauty to include in your collection. Jeff Garrett writes, “The 1927 Indian Head Quarter Eagle is similar in rarity to the 1926, and can be found in all grades below MS 66. Most are well struck with excellent luster. The date is ideal for Type coin collectors. Color is similar to that of the 1926, with light rose gold to a rich greenish gold.”
Writes David Akers, “Along with the 1926, this issue is generally the most attractive of the series in high grade.” NGC has graded 2,749 as MS64 with 649 finer. Collector’s Universe prices this issue at $975.00 in MS64. In CAC, there are 518 in MS64 with 67 finer. CAC gives this issue a price of $1,050.00 in MS64.
