Comparable to the 1926 and other late issues from the Philadelphia Mint, the 1927 is typically well struck with excellent luster and color. Color is similar to that of the 1926, with light rose gold to a rich greenish gold. Writes David Akers, “Along with the 1926, this issue is generally the most attractive of the series in high grade.”
