1915 $10 Indian Head Eagle PCGS MS62
Here’s an attractive—and more affordable—piece with a dramatic design to include in your collection. PCGS has graded 1,890 of the 1915 Indian head eagles as MS62 with 2,146 finer. Collectors Universe prices this issue at $2,150.00 in MS62.
Gold specialist David Akers writes, "The 1915 is always very sharply struck with frosty, virtually non-granular surfaces and very good to excellent lustre. The color is also usually excellent, most often a medium to rich greenish gold with rose or orange highlights." In a similar vein, Jeff Garrett writes, "Most seen are well struck and fully lustrous and this date stands out as one of the finer examples of this design to come off the dies."
