“This is undoubtedly one of the more underrated issues of this series,” writes David Akers.
Here’s an attractive piece to include in your collection. It would be a great gold type coin. Jeff Garrett writes, "As can be seen from the rather high mintage figure for the date, the issue is rather common in circulated condition and the lower Mint State grades....The 1912 Quarter Eagle is somewhat scarce in Choice (MS 63) and becomes very rare at the Gem level." PCGS has graded 1,069 as MS63 with 889 finer. Collectors Universe prices this issue at $2,500.00 in MS63.
