Delightful pinkish-apricot surfaces are sharply struck and intensely lustrous. While 915,000 examples of the circulation strike 1911 Indian half eagle were struck, the vast majority are in lower Mint State grades due to copious abrasions from transportation and storage. Premium Choice examples like the Fairmont specimen offered here are scarce, and they are rare relative to demand from quality conscious gold enthusiasts.
