1907 $10 Indian Head Eagle, No Motto NGC MS61
Here’s a dramatic piece to add to your collection, one that carries one of the most beautiful designs in American numismatic history. The obverse design is the result of a creative partnership between Augustus Saint-Gaudens and President Theodore Roosevelt. Roosevelt used his bully pulpit with the sculptor-medalist, demanding that he add the Indian feather headdress to make the coin iconically American. NGC has graded 1,512 as MS61 with 5,446 finer. Collectors Universe gives this issue a price of $2,250.00 in MS61.
