1900 $20 Liberty Head Double Eagle NGC MS64 (CAC)

Here’s a beautiful example of the popular Liberty Head double eagle—at an affordable price for such a lofty grade! Perhaps you could add this to your collection as a type coin. Its ‘1900’ date makes it the perfect candidate for a type set! This turn of the century issue is among the two or three most common dates in their entire Liberty Head Double Eagles series. Just the 1904 is unquestionably more common than the 1900. There are many uncirculated examples of this issue available, including plenty of choice to gem pieces.  It is a possibility that so many exist in excellent condition because 1900 was the first year of the new century. Very few people have the opportunity to celebrate more than one of those! NGC has graded 8,177 as MS64 with 898 finer. In CAC there are 1,024 in MS64 with 50 finer.
