1892-CC $10 Liberty Head Eagle PCGS XF45 (CAC)
NEW LOWER PRICE (12/15)
In 1892, the Carson City Mint struck 40,000 gold eagles, which is the second highest mintage for the Carson City eagle series. However, most of those coins were placed into circulation or exported for circulation around America. Therefore, this issue is, according to NGC Coin Explorer, a “serious conditional rarity, with most coins grading in the low-to-mid AU range. MS61 is easily the most commonly seen uncirculated grade.”
This piece would be perfect for the aficionado of the Old West or the Carson City Mint. PCGS has graded 131 as XF45 with 432 finer. Collector’s Universe prices this issue at $3,500.00 in XF45. In CAC, there are 7 in XF45 with 97 finer.
