Here’s an attractive type coin to add to your collection. Plus, in the grade of MS61, it is very collectible. Please take a look at the images provided by AUCM. NGC has graded 465 in the grade of MS61 with 239 finer. The finest in NGC is MS63, while at PCGS the finest graded 1882-S twenty Is MS64. Here’s an interesting aside on this issue. Ron Guth reports in PCGS Coinfacts that there was an obverse die of the 1882 Liberty Head double eagle, attributed to the San Francisco Mint, that sold by auction in 2001 for $20,700.
