1882 $1 Morgan Silver Dollar NGC PR65DCAM
Here is an absolute stunner to add to your collection. Please look at the images provided by AUCM of this beauty. Growing collector interest in proof-only Trade dollars increased sales of 1882 proof sets, however the proof silver dollar is nevertheless very scarce in relation to its business strike counterpart.
Ultra Cameos, especially those in Premium Gem and above, are particularly difficult to track down. Note the frosty devices and deeply mirrored fields on this Superb Gem. Its lightly toned surfaces also exhibit a sharp strike and are immaculately preserved. The proof mintage of Morgan dollars was 1,100 in 1882. However, NGC has graded only 17 as Ultra Cameo. Of those, NGC has graded a single piece as PR65UCAM with 11 finer. Collectors Universe gives this proof issue a price of $12,000.00 in PR65UCAM.
