1880-CC $1 Morgan Silver Dollar PCGS MS63

Here’s an attractive—and historic—piece to add to your collection. The 1880-CC $1 Morgan dollar had a mintage of 591,000. PCGS has graded 4,289 as MS63 with 9,858 finer. Collector’s Universe prices this issue at $875.00 in MS63.

Dave Bowers writes that they generally have frosty surfaces and "The lustre on a typical 1880-CC is quite nice." This date is easier to find and therefore more affordable. Carson City Morgan dollars are always in great demand. There are wonderful reasons for this: the romance and history of the Old West and the Comstock Lode, the short-lived history of the Carson City Mint, and the great popularity of the coins themselves. Another reason is the consistent excellent quality of the coins!
