Obverse: 13 stars. 1st star above the bust point; the 7th star is between and above the 3rd & 4th feathers of the headdress. 1876 under the head. The 76 touches the bottom of the hair.

Reverse: 1-4 DOLLAR CAL inside the wreath; 6 pairs of berries on each branch. A leaf to the left of the D and a berry to the upper right of the R.

1. Die State-1: Sawtooth borders.
2. Die State-2: obverse reworked and repolished, thin straight line borders; stars smaller; thin crack, rim to outer berry left of C on reverse.
