Take advantage of a truly rare opportunity to acquire this coin. Don’t let it slip away. The 20,100 pieces delivered saw extensive circulation, few of which were saved. Please review the photos provided by AUCM. This rarity offers a rich golden brown patina on both sides. PCGS has graded 5 as XF45 with only 16 finer. Collectors Universe gives this issue a price of $35,000.00 in XF45.

Needless to say, the 1871-CC dime poses a challenge to collectors regardless of condition. XF45 is considered to be a relatively high grade for this very rare issue. The 1871-CC dime’s popularity is intensified by its being the first date of issue for the denomination at the Carson City Mint. Only a single die pair was needed to produce the small mintage of 20,100 examples of the 1871-CC Seated dime.
