1871 Gold 25C Liberty Head Round, Rarity-3.

Obverse: 13 stars; crude head. 1st star opposite point of bust. 3rd star to left of lips, 10th star to right and between two buns of hair. 1871 below bust, the 8 is high.

Reverse:  1- 4  DOLLAR CAL. within wreath.(with fraction bar and period after CAL.)  Two berries on each branch, inside left and outside right. One is to middle left of D.

1. Die State-1: obv.’broken nose’ no reverse cracks
2. Die State-2: Severely rusted obv, eye indistinct; cracks in lower right wreath, joining rim about 4:00.
