Out of a total graded population of 90 (with some resubmissions, no doubt) PCGS has graded 64, with NGC grading 26. NGC has graded 1 as MS68 with none finer. The finest at PCGS is MS67.

The obverse has the simple, thick-necked Miss Liberty that Frontier, Dieviercy & Co. of San Francisco was known for back in the Old West. Surrounded by 9 stars, the yellow-golden surface is sparkling. The reverse has an open wreath tied with a bow. Within the wreath is "1/4 DOLLAR 1859." It is bedecked with attractive cherry-red toning that is a delight to behold.
