1860-O $1 Liberty Seated Silver Dollar NGC VF25
This Antebellum dollar has a great price and a classic design. In its assigned grade of VF25 it is perfect for the collector on a budget—who wants to put together a more reasonably priced collection of circulated specimens. NGC has graded 128 as VF25 with 968 finer. Collector’s Universe prices this issue at $725.00.
David Bowers writes, “The 1860-O dollar was probably intended primarily for the export trade, which at the time was active through New Orleans (among other ports). Most were used in this way, although probably several tens of thousands were held domestically.” The New Orleans mint only produced Seated dollars in 1846, 1850, 1859, and 1860. So, if you would like to have a silver dollar with that special 'O' mintmark, please take a careful look at this listing!
