R3. Interesting overdate. Made by Frontier & Deviercy. Large Broad Head, Beaded Circle, Date located within. NGC Census of 10 coins MS65 with 7 finer. According to Breen Gillio, a representative of the British Museum wrote to Bob Leonard that in June of 1865, two (2) of these BG-106 coins were donated to their numismatic collection.

Reverse: 1 4 DOLLAR 1855 within beaded circle. No fraction bar; DO repunched and joined; last 5 repunched to conceal the 4; same as BG-105 but reground and recut.
