Collectors Universe priced at $7,500...which must be a guess since non have traded publicly. PCGS reports 2 in this grade and 1 as MS62. This is an EXTREMELY RARE item!!
Obv: 13 stars, 1852 around and below large Indian head. Same as BG-962. Die State II, 7th star normal, hair ends split.
Rev: 1-2 DOLLAR within wreath. A berry joins the tail of the R. Instead of a berry on each side of the bow, it is 'C’ with berry to middle right of R in DOLLAR. Reverse ‘B’ same as BG960.
CCJ 4; EML 1; Burnie 1; Lee 1A; Doering 200.
The last (and only) time a BG-962A appeared at public auction was in 2003 during the Jay Roe sale, lot #452. His was also described as PCGS MS65 and looks remarkably like this specimen but we cannot be absolutely certain.
