This is the BD-4 variety, a Rarity-4, where we see the 3 touches the bust and the T in LIBERTY is perfect. On the other varieties, BD1 through BD-3, the right foot of the T in Liberty is missing. It is estimated there are probably no more than 125-175 examples of the BD-4 variety remain extant in all grades. A die crack travels through the base of the date. The present example is lightly circulated with yellow-gold color and strong remaining design detail, including on the eagle's breast feathers. Void of major abrasions and adjustment marks.
