Spain, Charles III (1775-1788), Gold 4-Escudos, 1775 S-CF, Seville Mint. KM#418.2. Gold fineness 0.9010. The obverse presents cuirassed and draped bust of Charles III to right. Legend and date: CAROL·III·D·G· HISPAN·ET IND ·R· ·1775· The obverse design was crafted by Tomás Francisco Prieto Martín, Spanish engraver and medalist.
The reverse displays crowned shield in collar of the Golden Fleece and the edge is obliquely milled. Reverse legend: IN· UTROQ· FELIX·A·D 4 S ·S· ·GF· Antonio de Saa was the engraver of reverse of this issue. An attractive specimen with an ochre hue, the reverse is handsomely lustrous.
