Rare example of desirable issue. Presents a strikingly elegant depiction of the young Peter II, who died at 14 in 1730. This piece represents only one of three dates that Peter II produced Roubles. NGC graded 12 in AU58 with 13 finer. The highest grade for this issue is MS62+, so this example is among the finest known. Features attractive original olive green-gray patina. KM 182.2; Davidson 1668; Bit-55.

Russian Empire silver Rouble from reign of Peter (Pyotr) II (1727-1730). Kadashevsky Mint (Moscow). Medal alignment. Obverse presents laureate bust of Peter II with military badge upon chest, facing right. Cyrillic lettering: ПЕТРЬ II ИМПЕРАТОРЬ И САМОДЕРЖЕЦЬ ВСЕРОСIИСКИ (Peter II Emperor and Autocrat of the whole Russia). Reverse features a cruciform, a cross, made of four letters П with "II" at the corners. Crowns at the sides of the cross. Denomination and date. Cyrillic lettering: МОНЕТА НОВАЯ ЦЕНА РУБЛЬ 17 28 П ii П ii П ii П ii (New coin price Rouble).  Smooth edge with lettering in Cyrillic: РОССИСКОI * РУБЛЬ ** МОСКОВСКОГО ** ДВОРА * (Russian Ruble by Moscow Mint).
